Syed has worked at various capacities as Project Manager, Senior Mechanical Engineer with leading MEP Consultant; viz. J. Roger Preston & Partners, Freeman Fox, Kennedy and Donkin M.E, Atkins and Ian Banham and Associates.
Syraj Hamza
Founder and Managing Partner
Syraj is a graduate Electrical Engineer and a Solar PV expert with diploma in Computer Studies from N.C.C., U.K., member of the Institution of Engineering and Technology (MIET), UK. Syraj has been a building services consultant for more than 25 years prior to founding SpEC; Syraj was heading electrical department of Ian Banham and Associates as Deputy Director.

In the past year. SpEC has continued to expand its portfolio across high-rise residential, commercial, hotel, industrial, aviation, marina, and data centre developments. Key projects include Marsa Al Arab Hotel, MarCasa, and Coral Reef in Dubai Maritime City, Canal Heights 2 in Business Bay, the Air Arabia MRO Aircraft Hangar and Simulator Building, As Saffiryah Museum in Madina, and the Net-Zero GEMS Founders School in Masdar City. The firm has strengthened its expertise in ELV, BMS, ICT, home automation, and Solar PV/BIPV systems, ensuring seamless integration of advanced technologies.
